St Peter & St Paul Newport Pagnell
About
As a church community we try to welcome everyone who comes through our doors with warmth and kindness. For those who have left prison we will welcome them in the same way and try to ensure that they feel comfortable and included in our worship, fellowship and social activities. We will treat them as every newcomer, without singling them out because of their past. We will join them on their Christian journey and offer a grounded approach to their Christian faith so that they can appreciate how God is relevant today in their life and in those around them. We will support them in exploring Christianity by nurturing their growing interest without applying undue pressure or expectations upon them. We will respect their privacy but if they choose to talk to us about past experiences relating to crime and/or prison, we will listen and try to support them in a compassionate, confidential and non-judgmental way. Where necessary we will help them in practical ways regarding access to resources available in the community.
